Personally I find the best way to make profit on eBay is to sell products for more than you bought them for (after taking into accounts postage costs and fees ect). Works every time :thumb:

On a somewhat more serious note, no one will give away their trade secrets. It takes days and months and years of research to find them. Do research, and then more research and then even more research until your eyes hurt from looking at your computer screen. When you have done that do a bit more research. More work you put into research the more you will get out of it.

I must frame your saying. Yes of course no-one would like to give their trade secrets around, but someone like you can encourage or give some point what to do. I have sold couple items related to gps navigation and almost did find my self into big trouble.

I did. Research.

Find an area that interests you. Research the hell of out it and find a way to make money from that area.

What to do is very simple. Its doing it that will take the time and it totally down to you. The more time you put into it the more you will get out of it.

And avoid Vero items.

Well, it's easy to say, but selling Vero items we can make a big profit. To many people are selling Vero items on ebay without getting into trouble..

The real question might be "what is not safe to sell on Ebay".
Lot of answer in the forum and, of course, VERO items, as JamesNorth101 said.

Easy to sell vero on there if you know how - lots of people don't.

A lot of those people could well have the rights owner permission and have very good wholesaler contacts.

The sellers who sell the Chinese replicas do not last very long on eBay and always eventually land in trouble. Rightly so

I tried to contact manufacturer, but no answer at all, been waiting for ages. It just means time to start something else.

Find something not risky that you are comfortable with, as far as selling is concerned, and start from there.

Selling Vero is very tempting, but believe me you would be amazed on how many sellers I see on ebay got banned for it. 2 years ago that's what happened to me with my real account. Made some decent money for a good 2 month and bam got limited. Now I'm selling mostly generics and unique hand made items. It's all about doing research and finding a niche, you will start earning money eventually. Just keep at it and good luck.

But your original question is what to sell.

How do you know they are not getting into trouble?

No one is going to give you exact tips after working years to find products to sell and create competition for themselves.

I divide selling into the seasons and so time of year.

I looked at what I liked as interests, hobbies. Looked at the tastes of my family.

Found items that suited that.

Sell them.

I also love precious metals. Have a big market there.

Takes heaps of research, time & gambling.

you need lots of research, firstly take a topic that interests you, break it down and see if there is a market for it and if you can find a supplier to make money

a lot of people start by selling household junk and get ideas that way

Best selling category is electronics but unless you buy from manufacturers or wholesalers it's hard to compete with others or make any money especially after fees, although it's possible and I'm speaking from personal experience.

Try to sell something about that people not easy to get or people need to pay higher price to get .

hi everyone, im a newbie. just want to know, im going to make a new bank account tommorrow. im opening up a new account in a different bank that my suspended ebay account was linked to. can i still use my real name or do i use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name? if i use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name do i need to show the bank people letters, how do i prove i am this ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name that im giving them, if they ask me to prove i am some name iv made up? please help, thanks.

You use your real details with the bank, and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ with eBay. Providing your bank accepts mismatching names (do a search on the forums).

You must always be real with your bank. As for pp/eb asking you for documentation...quite a few threads discussing this...you will have to be creative

Vintage Items can be good from thrift shops but make one thing to be careful if you don't see any other up it could be of real value or depending on the subject matter people may be waiting for the price to go back up or even the person to die given it's a public figure.

* Also if you see just one of the item up, even if it's some other location it could be someone just trying sell the stuff they have a lot of these 5013C Non-Profits aka thrift shops pick out all the good stuff( or at least what they know is good or is donated anonymously n have auctions) But I know they were investigating some of these Goodwills, because their not to honest when it comes to their line of business, I use to work right next their donation center and saw how they operated, they basically have two crews in there...plus they employ a lot of people with severe disabilities so they don't know what the hell is going on or really can't be held accountable for anything kinda F'd up is you ask me

I learned this the hardway when I sold two bruce jenner starting lineup figures at $5.00 a piece little did I know he was going on 60 minutes or Opera to talk about that figure when he still had a di(K :lol: They sold in the range of $250-$600. But who would of perdicted all that " Call me Catlin " hahahahahaha
