Where to sell?
 

Greeting everyone, a quick question for all seasoned resellers out there.

I recently happened upon 500 micro SD cards 2gb to 32gb 100/pc.
After doing the math I decided the quickest way to unload them would be package deals via eBay. However, those numbers turned out to be way too low for the quantity once shipping and selling fees were added.

My question is, does anyone here have another idea on how to get the most profit from my small finding?

it may be you made a mistake and we all have a garage full of them, it is not a failure, it is learning, you can buy based on research and then a seller comes along and takes all the sales, or you missed them and you are stuck with your goods, sometimes best just to sell off cheap and move on, or just sell it as a wholesale lot and get rid...you might make a small profit anyway. If you look on ebay/az/play and all other venues and you cannot make a margin, it is all you can do, or wait it out and hope the sellers go away (unlikely)....

...Ive never lost money on a wholesale purchase, but occasionally I have not made anything much.....

Yes this lot was totally free of charge so anything made would be profit. I just don't see it as a good fit for eBay and amazon as you stated. Thanks.

hi autolife this is what yo do start the bidding at 5.99 with free shipping also take a few picture of them and don't use stock images. im sure you can sell them fast good luck.

Do you have any idea that these cards can be phakes.

That buyers file SNAD with these sales?

Maybe the best thing for you to do is not selling them on ebay 1 by 1. But to sell them in a lot! Of 25 in a lot, or 10 at a time. If not try craigslist since you live in America (no negative feedback, no ebay, no paypal). Then once you sell this item, NEVER EVER Buy it again since it was a pain to get rid of it. You live and learn.

Now if these are phakes you won't want to waste your time with things like that. You don't want someone knocking at your door taking you away with handcuffs. Not worth chasing a few pennies for government bling bling.

All valid responses. And I was not aware that there could be flack on something as small as SD cards, as GB n rsot mentioned. That rules out using them to build up new accts. I may just go with the idea of a lot sale. That seems the safest way to go.

Thanks again guys. Selling just began to pick up today when a customer bought in bulk at my discounted rate. Cool! Finally some headway! Checked his page out seems that he's making a killing overseas , as a us seller, with the same products. How does one tap into the overseas markets? Is it as simple as offering international shipping? Or more in depth?

International shipping has risks in terms of buyers who will scam you and high postage costs...few examples...analyze carefully before diving in

International AND simple are not in the same ballpark.


Much more in depth to consider doing overseas selling. Even selling to Canada can be problematic.

You need to do lots of research to work out the benefits or lack there of.
