Aliexpress shipping time
 

Hey guys
I am looking for new items to sell. My current products are doing well but returns rate is currently 40%. I am getting frustrated with this and need to find something else.
I am in contact with some US wholesalers but their prices are higher than sellers on amazon and ebay.
I saw somethings on aliexpress that I will be testing.

How long does it really takes from China to the US with their free shipping?

Free shipping usually takes around 20-30 days. Depending on how much you buy you could see if they will offer free DHL or UPS shipping. Some will discount or offer free DHL. DHl takes around 3-5 days for delivery. But also ask them how long it will take them to give the package to the shipping company. Some companies have 1-3 day handling time. I have also see 10-15 day handling times. So make sure they wont have the package for 10 days before they even ship it. That drastically increases the time before you receive your package.

I drop ship from them all the time on ebay. Takes 30-40 days but dang the shipping is free. I sell on ebay for $3-5 with $3 shipping and the item is $2.59 free shipping. So If I sell I make $3 each time. The silly part is I sell it on ebay and flip over to another ebay site and buy it (I can buy on aliexpress for 50 cents less but have to use my CC)

It sounds like you are not looking for wholesalers, but for drop-shippers.

It will be difficult to find drop-shippers who can supply products that will allow you to have the lowest price on eBay or Amazon, at least for popular products. Drop-Shipping from China to the US will cause many customers to be upset with shipping times. The e-packet service takes 20-30 days, EMS (which is NOT fee) takes about 14 days, but could be more depending on how long each package sits in customs. Companies like FedEx and DHL can have your items here in 3-4 days, but using them to send individual products would be prohibitively expensive.

Drop-shipping attracts a lot of people, because they think it is quick and easy money. Since is usually costs very little, or even nothing, to get started you will find that many, many people are trying to do the same thing that you are doing. So the odds of beating your competitors on price is very slim.

There is a company in the US called DOBA, which many people recommend. I signed up for the free trial a few years ago so I could see what the pricing was like. I remember looking at a DVD (a movie called "1408" with John Cusack) which DOBA would drop-ship for a total cost of $14. I looked it up on eBay, and it was selling for $4.99 with free shipping.

And you have to be careful, because sometimes you might find a website that looks very professional, with prices you think will allow you to compete. But after you start placing orders with them, your customers complain they never received their items. You will get excuse after excuse, along with assurances that the items are on their way. Until one day when you call and the phone is disconnected. Then, YOU are left holding the bag for all of the refunds.

I am not a big fan of drop-shipping for these and many other reasons.

If you are interested I have a drop shipping contact for phone cases, delivery is around 7-12 days , and they have a huge selection of unique cases, over 500K products. They do drop shipping to all countries.

Thanks for the reply guys, I am not looking to dropship. I was just curious about the shipping time as most sellers state 15 days delivery time.

I am looking to purchase some items but I'm not sure whether aliexpress is worth it as they are as expensive as US wholesalers plus the time it takes to get the actual goods.

I'm a Gold member on Aliexpress. I have placed dozens of orders ranging from 5$ to 1500$.

Your order should always be processed in under 5 days. Message the seller and make sure they can do this before you order otherwise the processing alone could be 14 days.

The shipping time for DHL is 5-7 days
ePacket and EMS shipping time is around 14 days.

If you order over $400 worth of product you should request DHL shipping to complete your order.

The key is to place the order without paying for it then message them with your requirements to complete the paying of your order.

You should also receive at least 10% off all orders regardless of what you order.

If you let your order sit for about a week, the seller might even take $10-20 bucks off to help you pay faster. Has happened quite a few times in the past. DHL is usually 4-5 days for me.

well usually people frustrate that due to a very long time aliexpress shipping and due to this we usually have to face order cancellation, however recently i found an article that how to deal with aliexpress late shipping which as really helpful for me.
