| Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? Probably a long shot, but whatever...
Perhaps you used to sell or dropship a product(s), or know of one, but decided not go go with it simply because it wasn't profitable enough...
I know "not profitable enough" can be $1-1.5k a month for some people. But that's seriously all I desperately need per month right now
I've got a big fat $0 rolling in through eBay and my only option at this point for income is to sell phony belts to people locally (who know they're not real) but I don't want to get involved with that
Any info (perhaps PM'd) with some suggestions/advice/referrals?
Sorry for the desperate vibe |
Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? Keep searching for popular/trending products and sourcing the cheapest bulk supplier. You'll learn a lot more than you think by spending the time researching rather than asking ;) |

If you are on $0 per month, I suggest you go get a regular 9-5 job until you have some funds to setup something decent and real.
Sounds a bit harsh but thats how it is from my end.
Peace, love and all that phoney talk, X |
muzzie | 09-07-2015 05:51 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? You can try dropshipping from Aliexpress. State that your items are in China, and start selling. But you may end up killed by impatient buyers, but that is what the dropshipping is about, as "fast" sources will give your a very tiny profit, as they can perfectly sell items by themselves. |
Callidus | 09-07-2015 05:59 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? Dropshipping from abroad is doomed to fail...really is. Find a dropshipper in at least the same country as you if you're going to go ahead with that method. |

Callidus | 09-07-2015 06:03 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? They place their stock in the country they are selling on - read recent posts from other members regarding the issues. |
dealagreeproceed | 09-07-2015 06:13 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? ok I don't usually give away trade secrets but hey for you anything!... so have you tried selling brand new in the box iPhone 6 plus phones? heard they sell really good!:heh::mod::bored: |
muzzie | 09-07-2015 06:14 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? What is the problem with stating that your stock is in China? As per Ebay TCs, it is allowed to dropship, as long as you may deliver the goods in 30 days. |
Callidus | 09-07-2015 06:39 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? I never said there was a problem with having your stock in China but most UK buyers do not read the listings and then when their goods don't turn up within 3-5 days for UK post they WILL neg you.
Regardless if you stated it's in China it's the worst business model going |
muzzie | 09-07-2015 08:26 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? Well, if they don't read, they don't read China listings as well, and probably would drop a neg to them as well. But China sellers are big and strong. Why? |

muzzie | 09-07-2015 09:12 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? But they survive. So this kind of business is theoretically viable. |

bjammin | 09-09-2015 06:40 PM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? Ebay does not like drop shippers. If you have a new account and eBay finds out you are drop shipping, they will suspend your account. When eBay requests that you call in, they usually ask questions like: "How are you shipping the item?" "How did you obtain the item?" "Is the item in your possession?"
If you have a US ebay account and you put on there that it is being shipped from China, then your account is done. They will not have you call in. They will say "INDEFINITELY SUSPENDED" If you want to successfully drop ship then you need to not let the buyer or ebay find out that they has not came from another country.
I bought a nike shirt off ebay the other day. It took 2+ weeks before I received the item. I am still pissed. I dont care if it is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or not, but I do care that I waited 2 weeks to get it. That was a horrible drop shipper. |
yankee | 09-09-2015 06:46 PM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? I recently had a couple GREAT accounts closed and paypal requested docs because they assumed I was dropshipping.
Pretty much I messed up and printed off ebay items that weight pounds and needed to be accurate for shipping fees, so I edited the ship from locations. This basically notifies ebay the item is not in your possession when shipped.
I have learned over a few months this can be deadly for an account, no matter how awesome service can be with rave reviews. |
Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? OP, time to get researching - tons of products out there |
easy.bake.oven | 09-10-2015 01:39 AM | Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? ^ yeah - get a real job OP - this aint for you and if you do manage to sell something, I feel you will provide the lamest customer service, late deliveries etc.
I feel sorry for any of your potential buyers. I hope they dont get put off ebay because of you.
You dont even have the cash to buy or post any goods, good luck. |

Quit your condescending f*cking garbage. |
Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? Ah another dropshipping denialist thread. "Ebay will suspend your account if they think you are dropshipping" totally wrong. Take a look at some cheap phone accessory on Ebay and many are shipped from China but account is registered in UK for example, then look at their feedback 10's of 1000's.
Things will go wrong every so often but as long as your feedback is high then who cares.
I do agree that OP probably needs a regular income if he is unsure what to sell. Making something with nothing is not easy, and selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ belts to friends is not going to bring home the bacon |

Not needed. :nono: |
Re: Anyone willing to share info on a product I can dropship? >>> I was literally asking for something minor that was a throwaway idea or former item that didn't do as well as someone would've liked. Even then, I prefaced the original post saying it was probably a longshot + I ended with acknowledging my desperate attempt of a post late at night while lost on possibilities. I was never asking for some top secret, super selling item. And another note: I said I had $0 in income through eBay.
Anyway, less than 48 hours after posting this thread, I thought of a very promising niche item after I realized I couldn't even find the item for myself unless it was priced ridiculously high.
Already ordered samples from a manufacturer... it's a fairly basic item so it should be finalized quickly and I'll probably make a large order in bulk.
I was about to post another thread, perhaps I'll keep it in here... But I've seen conflicting reports in here about dropshipping and eBay kicking people off. This kind of worries me because I plan to use a fulfillment center to pack & ship all my orders. They're just across the border in the US so I'd be a little worried if eBay saw my long-time Canadian account selling items with the location being in the US. (USPS shipping prices are why I want everything based in the US. They're so much cheaper. The prices in Canada are absurd and would be at least double the amount) | All times are GMT -5.
