How defects are recorded

Transaction date July 25
Case escalated Aug 25.

Does the defect count in the month of July, or August? Basically is the defect logged in the month of the transaction, or the month it was actually escalated?

Just go to your seller dashboard -> transaction defect rate -> get full report

That will tell you exactly when the defect was counted. I'm going to guess it counts for August, because that's the month you weren't able to work things out with a buyer and had to get Ebay to step in.

I think it dates to the transaction date, BUT it should be easy enough to look back and see for sure.
