You can add a new PayPal to the Ebay account but expect to have the PayPal eventually get closed as well...and also there's a posibility of getting the Ebay account closed down as well....It's all about risk, and how much are you willing to risk. There's no set time, it's really up in the air on how long the new PayPal will last.
thanks thought there might have been some way round it so it doesn't get linked don't want to risk the ebay i have 8,000 listing per month allowance took me a while to build up, looks like I'm ****ed
i asked ebay about it and they advised me i can add a different paypal account to my ebay account but thought paypal would get on to it

Yeah that's probably best but you should continue selling on your existing account until you are no longer able to. Doesn't make any sense to just trash an established Ebay account when even an Ebay rep told you to just add a new Paypal.
I've tried adding a new paypal account this was also blocked within 48hrs, paypal message just read blocked due to linked to ebay name.. i thought changing the ebay name would this throw them
as i just keep getting funds stuck in different accounts
Ah alright, I guess there's not much you can do in that case. You can try changing the Ebay name but unless you can also change the email attached to the account I don't think it's going to work. On top of that there's probably some sort of internal "account ID" used by Ebay which could be used by P/P to quickly link you again.
