DirecTV reciever = VERO? What did I do wrong?
 

I listed 4 directv boxes. Two with DVR's and Two standard HD boxes I got out of a storage locker. I called DirecTV to see if the boxes were owned and if they had a balance that was in collections.

DirecTV told me the boxes could not be activated. I listed them as not working for parts and stated the boxes could not be activated. I also included the access cards which I realize after reading some more are worthless trash.

Ebay took down the two DVR boxes at the same time. But left the standard HD boxes.

Does anyone with some knowledge in this area know what I did wrong and what I need to do to be able to list them.

Can I take them apart and sell the parts? Or is it because the boxes are in collections that is the problem?

Was the account quite new?

Those items falls in a high risk category I guess.

1. Electronics is high risk.

2. Does anyone with some knowledge in this area know what I did wrong and what I need to do to be able to list them. - Not sure if anyone who sells this stuff would actually share info like that...actually only "person" who really knows is eBay itself....

3. You could experiment and see what works - trial and error...

Have you tried calling eBay? They are the only ones that can answer your question.

I would ring ebay and talk to a USA rep and see what the deal is.
