Why does ebay suggest your OWN items to purchase through email!?
 

They keep doing this! I list the item weather it sells or not they send ME the seller a message saying "is this item worht another look" with the title of the item that is so freaking weird man?

What gives.

All automated i guess ,They keep offering me 75% off my final value fees for accounts they have already banned me from selling with.........

That's ok...when I first started experimenting with stealth and an account would get banned....most of the time the next day they would increase my selling limits....I would just laugh.

It is because you viewed your listings or watching them.

i think it's because i typed it in the search maybe? But i only probably typed it in before i listed it to check the price OR to check to see if it the listing propagated in the search results so as to verify others could find the listing.

Its automated

I would assume you will have searched for your own items at some point so eBay thinks your looking for that type of item. They are now sending you emails about that type of item (which happens to be your own item)

In marketing terms its called re-targeting and all the big online retailers have invested heavily in this particular strategy.

Basically, you will see a lot of the same types advertisements over and over based on what your search history on the site. If you go to amazon and look at mostly kitchen-ware, you'll notice kitchen-ware ads on amazon and google searches, because they asusme that you are interested in them over random ads.

For eBay, if you continue to look at your listing, I bet they track that and re-target your listing to you in your ad - so eBay is more listing specific rather than niche specific.

I looked up reading glasses once, eight years ago, and they've been sending me promotional emails about it ever since.

Who can tell why they do what they do? Their programmers are dumber than a rotting stump.
