Can Ebay track and link me via a Facebook account or iTunes
 

So I've been off eBay 2 years. Have a new phone and new wifi. Bought a new account off this site, listing, selling and have money in PayPal just waiting for holds to be up (only 20-30 days old). All doing well really. However when I log into Facebook app on my iPhone I now get numerous adverts for eBay items (usually my actual own item listing!)
My question, if Facebook can track me now Using Ebay, can Ebay track me and link me to my old eBay account through my Facebook app or my iTunes account on my iPhone. I don't use the eBay app. Just the mobile site. Nothing else.
Or would Ebay only have the power to track me in this way of i installed there app and accept the very powerful terms and conditions apps have to gain so much info.

Don't use the app or even the mobile site on the phone, you will have more than 1 account eventually and you will probably link them by mistake. (maybe forget to clear cache on mobile browser etc..)
better be safe than sorry.
just use a PC and get the massages on some kind of email app.
the adverts comes from history and cookies from the sites you have visited and searched,
i doubt they can link you by this.

Thanks for reply. I only ever have one account. It's not that big of an issue for me to need more. With that in mind could I actually use the eBay app? I loved using it for my first account and if they can't track me through my iTunes account then surely it's fine.

i really don't know about the app, eBay app may look into your Apple ID and cross reference with previous account that was sign in before.
i wouldn't use it.
You can use Chrome browser.
Also, turn off auto connect on WiFi, when you are outside, you may connect to public WiFi that was used to abuse eBay/PayPal.
Don't think me as paranoid, these advises will save you time & money.
