How to download Thunderbird portable to iPhone and ipad
 

Hi, I was hoping someone could walk me through the process of downloading Thunderbird email on my iPhone and iPad. I've searched the web to no avail. If you could tell me where to download it from and how to set up all my current email accounts to it that would be great. Thanks

Thunderbird is only for Windows, Linux and OS X....not for Apple. You need to find an email program for your iphone from the app store.

Can you recommend a good email program for apple? I know you're a big fan of thunderbird and I appreciate any recommendations you have to offer.

Thanks. I'll look those over. Just to confirm something. ANY third party email app that choose to get email notifications from will work with Stealth as long as I don't reply via the app? Thanks

Any 3rd Party Email should work fine for just receiving emails....

Thank you. very informative. I just looked at the Gmail App and saw the latest update and MANY negative reviews BUT I saw a newer version Gmail has called Inbox for Gmail and EVERYONE seems to be raving about it. I think I will give it a try. When I went to my desktop into the Gmail settings to turn off the images it didn't have a button for that. Instead it merely states, ASK before displaying images or ALWAYS display images. So I just switched it to ASK before displaying images. I hope that is correct.

I just noticed this in the Gmail settings and thought it might be of use? I don't know how TRUE the statement actually is though.
To help load images safely, images go through Google's image proxy servers and are transcoded before they're delivered.

This makes images safer because:

Senders can’t use image loading to get information like your IP address or location.
Senders can’t use the image to set or read cookies in your browser.
Gmail checks the images for known viruses or malware.

In some cases, senders may be able to know whether you've opened an email that has an image attached to a unique link. Gmail scans every message for suspicious content, and if Gmail considers a sender or message potentially suspicious, images won’t be shown and you’ll be asked whether you want to see the images.
