mifi went dead and it auto connected to dsl grrrr
 

As title reads i was logged in using mifi it went dead and 4 sum reason it auto connected to my home dsl that i used the ip aready on my more important account .. I know if this is a one time thing should be no problems but thinking of abandoning the lessor of the accounts just to be sure i never get limited in the future and mess up my bread winner , sucks i cant get ip on dsl to spoof so stuck with the same ip even tho they claim dynamic even called them they reset and still locked the same ip mite as well call it static at this point :( any thoughts suggestions at this point :smash::smash::smash:

One time is fine, but don't do it again.
Consider disabling your network adapter or unplugging it next time you need to use your mifi.

yea i always had it unmarked the auto connect so not sure why it happened in the first place

You almost destroyed the Space Time Continuum blueglass1! but luckily it only happened once so it should be fine.

I know rite lol i linked a 100k a year account to a stealth who gives a hoot account i hate to just waste the stealth it has 500+ fb with 2500/ 250,000 limits but still not doing the turn over the "main account " is doing for years with almost 50k feedbacks . the only thing that scares me is was told a linked via dsl is a stronger link than say a mifi Wish i could get a new ip from my dsl before reusing it

DSL should be easy I believe......Turn off Modem/Turn on Modem....but I assume you have tried that already.

oh yea unplugged tried the router settings page tried connecting a second wireless to it belkin which is the way i had it set up before i moved even the cable company couldnt get it to change , My last provider i had the clapper hooked to my modem lol drove the wife crazy me always clappin to change ips across 40 accounts lol going to unplug it for 24hrs and see if that mite get a release .. mite have to just start using the mifi across accounts slower but atleast i get a new ip . problem there i bought them long ago and they reset and change ip every 15-20 mins so have to be pretty fast or keep a close eye for the ip to change , anyone using the 4510l version should be aware of this problem the newer ones wont reset until turned off and back on

It takes 2 minutes to force a new ip with dsl, but to unsavvy tech people like yourself that do not make sure they are disconneted from their home ip you simply just will not figure it out. Start with your network and internet settings hint hint
