Question when talking to ebay reps

Guys I've used GV number for ebay, when it comes to calling ebay, do you guys use a prepaid phone to talk to someone on ebay or just your phone number to call them up? ( In the case you have to call when GV is not available for you, say when you are on your way to work or something)

If you already have google voice on the account and everything went well with it, it shouldn't be a problem. I've phoned them before with google voice. It's rare that they call you. They can't even answer their phones on time over there. So, it's more likely you'll call them.

What I meant is can they link you if you are calling on the phone that was registered to the suspended account?

The question is, why would you want to risk calling from a number that was used on a suspended account? just use a new number, it's that easy.....

For best results, spoof your number and call them. That's what I do. I can easily call them, and they can easily call me.

If you call from a number not on the account they will most likely want to verify you somehow, which most of the time means database questions. Could be death of the account if you don't handle this properly.

Just a tip: go into GV settings and disable the prompt callers get when they call you. That way eBay doesn't get notified they are being forwarded when they call your GV #.

When you say spoof you mean the *67 trick? Where it shows as restricted or unavailable number?
This question arose because what if I'm not in front of my pc and have to call Ebay to ask about something and don't have access to GV.

Ive never purchased a prepaid phone before, but how much to they run? And how does it work? Do you have to have a new phone for it?

Any phone will do, as long as it's compatible with carrier's frequencies: used, new, whatever. I pay $25 a month for unlimited talk and text
