I want to get away from paypal so I was checking into other payment option and Stripe seems like a good way to accept payments.
Has anyone used Stripe with ebay? How is that working for you?
thank you

ha, dont start thinking you found a loophole and they are going to be so much easier. in many ways they are much worse than PP. how about them $15 chargeback fees baby
they will review your products and can freeze your money any time just like PP.

Honestly, i sold on eb when "paymate" was an option for USA sellers. I received just as many sales as I did when I used pp. The only difference was that i received 1-3 dollars less per item sold, which did not bother me. I say give it a try.

@OP, are you looking at getting merchant account status for your eb account?
I currently have the option to accept credit cards on my ebay account. It's a well established account in my real name, more than 10 years old. I just uncheck the paypal option and can take credit cards directly through Stripe. So far, ebay has not required me to have any merchant account. I don't sell anything illegal or vero. I am tired of paypal and their customer service. I also sell a hand made item that has a specific time frame on it and pp always allows people to open up an item not received no matter how long it's been. Then they hold the funds, as you know. 99% of ebay buyers will open up an item not received case when asking when they are going to get their item, no matter how many times I update them. They still go through the 'contact seller' and click on 'item not received'. That also holds the funds and then I have to stop and rush to get their stuff done to ship it and get my money. I"m just tired of it. I would rather have less business through ebay and less hassle. I also sell through my own website so ebay isn't the only income stream. It's a large one but not the only one. I was also thinking of going to etzy and thought i might be able to use Stripe there. I have to check more into their checkout rules.

you have much to learn if you think that's the only reason accounts are frozen, including Str.ipe. you are coming across as someone who thinks they might actually be impervious to the rules. so give it a shot and report back if you really think Str.ipe is going to end all of your problems.

I am not looking for a loophole. I'm just tired of having my funds held because my
hand made items take longer than ebay's 30 day handling time.
They can review my products all they want. I've been selling for 15+ years
with no issues about what I am selling.
Nothing illegal, nothing vero.
Ebay customers like their items fast. Even if they are handmade, some people can not understand the timelines written in the description.
Etsy customers are more used to longer timelines due to handmade items, so there is less trouble with complaints.
If you are going to sell on ebay, you will probably continue to have this issue. Maybe have a reserve or savings set aside for when this problem comes up?
