Can I please get your opinion ?
 

Ok, I own a local small resell shop, many of my " mall type brands " sell like hot cakes on ebay..
( I have asked friends/family and they all tell me what I want to hear)

many times I start an item on ebay for 5.00 and 12.00 buy it now.
my question is , if you won the item at 5 bucks, how would you rather see shipping? ( I oNLY use flat rate 6.80)

so would you rather pay 5.00 for item and 6.80 for shipping
or would you rather pay like 12 bucks plus free shipping?


I have tried both ways, I dont really see anymore sells one way vs the other, i am lately having couple " problem buyers" buying cheap items and wanting cheaper shipping for those items ( those items would cost more not flat rate ive tried )
just wondering would you buy a cheap item ,where shipping cost more than your item?

Does your item(s) quality for First Class Mail?

$12 with free shipping sounds better....people like to see "free shipping".

The $12 method works better for most people.

Its the same tactic like using $24.99 and saying its under 25 bucks...but then not including taxes and fees...You get my drift.

People usually do not think about this when shopping...especially on ebay.

I totally agree with your post Big CJ. I sell items for $49.95 and I have a competitor at $50.95 with FREE SHIPPING. Just for an extra dollar, It looks terrible and he loses so many sales. No problem though, just more for me! =)
