Refunded by eBay (showing up on pp)
 

So I've noticed this a few times but really starting to get to me.

Buyer buys the item waits for it to be shipped out, claims wrong address, once delivered they claim they never got it. Open a case, case closed in my favor.

Buyer emails me nasty names etc.

Then I see a

"Free shipping

-$16.85

adjustment"

When I hoover the mouse over the $ sign on ebay it shows "Your payment has been refunded"

Now I call ebay and they said they paid out of their own pocket. I called paypal first time they said "No they pay out of their own pocket then take it back from your account" So I called ebay the rep did confirm they paid for it and it even says on pp "Refunded by eBay" Then I see todays date "Refund by eBay To buyers name". So 2nd rep from paypal did confirm ebay did cover it.

Now I know ebay lies all the time cause I been dealing with them for 4 years 24/7. And I'm just a bit confused on how this works? Was it pulled out of my pocket or ebay really did refund? Because 1st pp rep said yes then 2nd rep said no. Or do they just lie for each other? I'm like really confused.


Now when I check the transaction on pp it says "We can't process any refund at this moment due to technical reasons. Please try again later." when I click to refund the buyer just to see what it does. And has this option as well "See details on classic site" to click on. I refunded another customer this morning for a return and refund but don't see these options there at all. So did they really pay for it?
