Is it a smart idea to send a "Second Chance Offer" even when the item sold?

....it sold and someone bid an amount right under the winning bid

is it ok to send a second chance offer even though the item sold?

I obviously have two of the same item...:mod:

I do it myself sometimes for high priced items but I only do it for 1 in 20 auctions

Never had an issue with it though

Yea, I do it from time to time when I have more than one quantity and like the price. Never been a problem for me.

I have sold maybe 100 second chance items, but what I sell are custom made, so if second bid is nice and sometimes third is also nice I just sell three of them instead of just one. Quick profit.

I do it all the time like everyday with no problems at all.
Many many times I second chance offer to more than 1 person - sometimes 3-10

Been doing for years on various categories and no problems at all so go for it.

It is a feature of eb so its ok as long as everyone gets their stuff within the timeframe in your listing.

On high risk items on a new account, take it easy though.
