Increasing Ebay limit with business account
 

I have a few stealth accounts and on one of them I have a limit of 2k items/25k limit. For this account, I sell an certain item and did really well with it this month and its ranked high in search. Problem is, I only have 200 left before I hit my limit. I don't want to lose that ranking.

I read a thread here you can upgrade to a business account on eBay to raise the limit but does the business actually have to exist/how hard is this option?
My paypal is business for this account if that helps but in that name not an actual business name.

I can wait for an organic increase but that might kill my rankings because it seems to happen at the end of the month.

Any other options as I will hit my limit in two days at this rate.

no the business does not need to exist.
But ebay does have a limit cap for personal sellers. So if yo want it to go high, it needs to be business.

But you will need to contact them for the raise, it doesnt happen automatically when you convert the account.

I am trying my best to avoid contacting them. Should I try to upgrade and let it be, to see if it happens automatically as some have said on here.

You could still get an automatic increase without upgrading to business but once you reach a certain cap (as Bunneh has said), the chances of getting further automatic increases on a personal account start to diminish.

If you don't want to contact ebay, upgrade the account to business and wait to see what happens.

I upgraded to business and its been more than a day. So far, nothing...

It wont happen that fast, you need to sell quite a bit and usually need to max your limit/s or get near your limits for it to trigger.

Its going to be a few weeks before anything happens.

Are you hitting your selling limits? The closer you get to hitting it the faster the limit increase should come

Nothing is ever a given when eBay is concerned though

I started at 1k/25k a month 6 months ago, then they bumped it once to 2k/25k last month, now I've hit my limit and waiting. Looks like its not worth upgrading to business account because you would take a risk of them looking over your account and its not instant like i thought it could be.

It may be worth getting a second account going if you don't have one already.
