High risk on stealth account

I want to sell Intel CPU, Graphics cards and things of that nature. Price is around $300-$450 per item. Shipping will always be Exped with 2 days, items always brand new.

I am planning on buying a fresh stealth account with a $15,000 limit, and I plan to sell 5 items/week.

What should I do and how long should I wait before I start selling CPU/Graphics cards?

If it were me I would start off selling low risk, low value items for the first month or so and get yourself a good 40 or 50 seller feedback first.

If you plan on selling such high risk items, make sure you have all your paperwork and invoices on standby as you will very likely get limited at some point.

On a 0 feedback account, and with zero sales.....your going to have massive issues. As ebayorbust mentioned, you should start out with low value items and build up to those expensive items.

Ensure you INFORM your seller too of your intentions.

They will guide you about making wiser choices for the early stages of your selling.

Good Luck.

Re: High risk on stealth account

I'm drop shipping from Amazon with Exped 2 day shipping.

I also don't live in the US, so I cant afford to sell cheap items as I'll lose a considerable amount of money dropshipping such items with fast shipping.

I feel very screwed right now.. I'm out of options then.

Re: High risk on stealth account

No, you are not really screwed. You need to look around at other options.

You have to re-do your current plan. This is what most of us do when we start.

What was said was, you would need to start off slowly.

I've read about people starting slowly with items that are around $100.

How about selling $100-150 Hard Drives at the start. I will ensure that items arrive quickly, they're 100% authentic as they are from amazon, and the buyers will see the amazon tape as well, so I think the buyers would appreciate that.

First week: 1 hard drive
Second week: 2 hard drives
Third week: 3 hard drives
Fourth week: sell $300 Graphics card
Fifth week: $400 graphics card
Weeks after that: begin slowly selling +1 extra each week.

This account will have a $15,000 limit, and not aged by the way.

I don't know if this is allowed but look:

This user signed up in June (5-6 months ago), and his first feedback was for an item of $450, and he only ever sells items for $400+

** EDIT

Another example, been signed up for 2 months, he's been selling $300+ items since his first month.

I'm beginning to think its all judged by your first sale, if you sell $400 item and you get great feedback, you're in the clear as long as you get perfect ratings.

Some new sellers are allowed to sell high priced items from day 1 because they have contacted eb and told them what they are selling and provided invoices etc.

I don't think so.

Selling a $400 electronic item on a new account/first sale will lead to a high risk of limitation.

If you want to reduce this risk dramatically, contact eb and tell them what you are doing/selling and provide them with the paperwork they want.
They don't like drop shippers to you will have to make something up

If you don't mind spending the time/money then go for it and do a test and see if it works for you :)

Ideally if it is a new account, you need to personally age it and get seller feedback for 3-4 months.
I say 3-4 months just to be safe and reduce any chance of limitations.
Also because of the category, price and amount you are planning to sell, you need establish a good selling history then you can start selling big.

Good luck with it all, hope it works out for ya

try starting with cheaper parts related to the computer. never start with branded stuff or anything above 100 usd a week
