Ebay staff up to no good
 

Hi ive had multiple vero's recently and i have been ****ting myself about being banned. so i put my shop on holiday mode and thought when and if my listings vanish from members i'll be able to let the account cool off... well this morning i got hit with vero and my listings are HIDDEN! this is the fcking staff trying to knock people off for sure! anyone ever encounter **** like this? am i right in thinking this is how the system works?

That's normal mate . Vero isn't instant when they are sent in . So the vero could have been sent in a few days ago about a listing you have had up.

Welcome to the forums - why are you risking your account with not solving the main vero issue?

Unfortunately, that is the risk you take by selling Vero items. It can hit you at anytime, even if you go on holiday mode. Always let accounts cool down before trying to list anything risky again.

'Holiday Mode' doesn't mean your listings are gone, the public just doesn't see them, they're still active on the server, and can be seen by people using third party links such as google.

Imagine my shock when I sold items while my listings were set to 'vacation mode', and came back 10 days later to dozens of complaints about 'where is my stuff'. :(

In any case, the easiest way to eliminate your Vero worries is to straighten up and fly right, sell something that won't cause these problems.

Vacation mode, hidden, or scheduled... just because they're not active or viewable by the public, doesn't mean that they are at all less visible to Eb.y

My recent (rude awakening/) revelation was how scheduled listings are counted just as if they were active (in some ways), and I bet vacation mode is similar- easy for us to think they are on the back burner but to the prying eyes at Eby they're just as visible in their searches and evaluations...
