Tracking indicates late delivery

Hello, have a problem with "tracking indicates late delivery". on one of my ebay accounts. it really hurts my metrics. All these orders were during "Christmas time". I shipped everything in time but it took USPS longer to process them. Anything I can do with it ? Maybe call Ebay and explain that USPS were busy ?
