Does eBay read IPv6 addresses!??!
 

So I've been using IPv6 addresses recently. Also recently I had a bunch of accounts go down at the same time.

Some IP websites tell me that my ip is the IPv6 which always changed (which I log them_) for every single user account I have a stealth on .

So if I go say on iplocation.net or speedtest.net ---it shows the IP of my U-Verse account which a static is needed to run my television.

But if i ask google or say ipburger.com it shows the IPv6!

So my question is which one does eBay see or do they see BOTH?!

*ISH!*, this really upsets me!

if u got a static ip and are using same ip for multiple accounts ur fukd

I think that is why all ur accounts got buggered

Someone on the forums quoted me recently saying ebay can see both v4 and v6 (if your ISP supports both of course).

The main ebay site only support v4 - that I know for sure.

But this user said the ebay sites have beacons that can read your v6 address - worth looking into.

Majority ISPs in the UK are still on IPv4 so I've yet to come across one of those weird looking IPs, so cant comment much on it.

google when asked "what is your ip" tells me the IPv6 I want to see and I log it and it's always different.

other IP lookup sites however will show the IPv4 which happens to be static.

So yea, if eBay only see's IPv4? Then, I'm phacked?!
