Changing to seller account
 

Hi! I had purchased the stealth guide here previously on a different user name and I would like to say it is great!

I do have a question, i have already opened ebay, added address, made paypal, verified pp with cc and about to do vba, and paypal is linked to ebay. Now, before, you just hit sell an item to make your account to sellers account, but now it goes directly into listing first item. So I should just wait until i have a few days browsing, watching etc history then goto list first item that will make it a sellers account, and then finally know my selling limits?

I don't know if the US differs to the UK, but you can turn a UK account in to a sellers account without listing an item.

If you have something to sell though, I would just list it to find out your selling limits.

Welcome to the forum ToEbayandBeyond - there are mixed opinions on this. Some people sell right away while others, like myself, prefer browsing and bidding for few weeks before starting sales.

Limits kick in after completion of first sale, last time I checked.

My selling limits have been kicking in after I link my "verified" PayPal Account. Once I click the "selling tab" it tells me what my limits are. I usually browse to create a good browsing history and wait at least 30 days before I link my PayPal and check my limits though.

Thanks, I found a link in one of the selling FAQs on their website. Good to be back on, and yes, I prefer to have some browsing/bidding/watch, etc history before listing for sure.

I used to browse but found for myself personally it did not make a difference. My limits improved when other factors in creating my accounts improved. But im sure creating a browsing history before listing can't hurt.
