IP Address and bank cards ebay suspended accounts
 

Hello, new to the thread, but ive done alot of reading up.

At 17 made a killing on eBay, however due to no form of transport i fell behind now and again on delivery dates. Still have 98.6% positive feedback on 807 feedback stars......but i got suspended for dropping below seller standards.

Few questions which i find mixed answers for online:

-IP Address, i have bought a new computer purely for my new account set up, can i use the same wifi that my suspended account was on, and my current account which is limited to a certain selling limit. I use my current account my home wifi. When i set up my new account on a new laptop, can i used my home wifi still for both accounts?

-Bank Card, ive applied for a new bank card with a new company, can i use this card as it has no tracces apart from my name. When i checkout items on ebay and it says name on the card ill just put my initals?


Please only reply if you have genuine knowledge rather than a guess, its cost me a small fortune to try set this account up, so want to get it right :) Any other tips feel free to let me know. Thank YOU:mod:

IP address are not related to the PC. They are issued by the ISP

If it has been a few months since you have last used eBay then chances are the IP address has changed, if not you need to work out if you have a static or dynamic IP address. If you want to try to use 2 accounts from the same WiFi then using a VPN would be best for the second new account

A bank card isn't used for stealth accounts. Its a new bank account you need (in your real details)

Dont use a static IP address. Buy a mobile router and pay maybe 25 dollars a month for 2 gbs. Or, use your cell and change the IP by switching to airplane mode.

And no, your static IP address usually does NOT change over time unless you unplug your router for a day.

Learn how to monitor your IP addresses. There is an exel template on the board.

Using VPN has ALWAYS gotten me shut down. On Ebay, on Paypal and on Amazon. Even trying to buy on Amazon going through a VPN site.

Some static IP address can change over time. They are classes as static IPs by the IPS but they are more like a very sticky dynamic IP. Virgin Media in the UK is a god example

Using the right VPN is also totally fine. The key is choosing the correct VPN

I didnt wanna confuse him with the IPs. Easier to tell him to just get a mobile router etc.

Also: Dont use your own personal credit card. A vanilla gift card works great for Ebay. A pre paid credit card with whatever address you give it works well too.

Just trying to help him stay completely stealth.

Not all VPN's are made the same, there are SOME that do work fine with Ebay/PP...Same goes for Proxies.

Yeah. But why make him guess. I know the one this board promotes is good supplying a dedicated IP.

Figured it was easier to let him know that most statics dont change unless unplugging router and also let him know he needs to check what his IP actually is. Just trying to keep him safe from the start.
