Hi

I am sure this questions has been asked before or at least this concept has been used before or something...

Has anyone thought of designing an app or website to generate F a k e (or made up) tracking details to show ebay that the items had been delivered on time?

I am sick of ebayers passing blames to us saying not delivered, or delivered slowly when in fact that a lot of times customer just want to blame OR SOMeONE!

Hence the idea of this.

Does this software exist or?

What do you guys think of this idea?

How exactly would you '⊗⊗⊗⊗' delivery details when the ebay and paypal systems are integrated with only official sites that provide such services?
Sorry but this suggestion is just unrealistic and impractical Im afraid.

Ebay pulls tracking data straight from USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. You wouldn't be able to phake anything in terms of showing an item was delivered. Even if you used a service that isn't trackable on ebay, they can always input the tracking number into the courier's website and see that way. Example being some freight companies, if you have items going by freight (engines, transmissions, etc)

I was just trying to help to fight this stupid ebay system that's all

How many times have us good honest reputable sellers sold stuff on ebay and got scammed by customers, or got abused by these morons AKA KING of ebay. customers on ebay are above the law, they can ask you to do anything, and you have no say if you wish to have a good feedback

I shall share a little story with you.
"this week, I had sold an item to a customer, sent out an item, a few days, later, he reported that he has not received, resent it and still said it has not been received, so the third and final time, I sent it with a track service, guesss what, customer said he has not yet received the item still! LOL God knows what is up. The tracking shows the item was signed for and yet customer claimed it was non receipt.;"

Yes i do admit my thought to this app has not been thought through thoroughly.

But so what, I am just trying to find a solution for us hard working ebay sellers to make this world a better place to be in.

I am no scammer! if I were to scam I would have been a millionaire by now.

These scaming bast@rds who scam us good honest sellers are scammers

Exactly.....I've had 5 idiots in December try it and all 5 I provided a tracking and even a detail of when and date the item(s) were delivered and I won all 5 within minutes of providing my tracking.....Maybe the OP doesn't ship with tracking number.

With the market i am in, using a tracked service will mean I have no profit margin

The problem here was, item was indeed proven to be delivered, but was not within ebay's ETA no more. furthermore, the customer opened a case against product defect.

Now if you are referring to scammers, here we have right there!

If you have no tracking, ebay is going to side with the customer...simple as that.

In all honesty, it wouldnt take the third time to finally provide tracking. In the mean time you've lost 3 times the 'profit' and money due to just not providing tracking in the first place.

You either need to raise your prices to get a profit margin or find other things to sell that will give you a profit WITH tracking.

Thats the nature of the beast with sales: You deal with a few bad apples and roll with the punches.

All I am saying is I am in UK and I got a guy who can hook me up and I can have anything marked as item delivered with sig/tracked etc. so please never say never.
He is my personal deep contact so he is all mine and all mine so f off before you even bother asking me anything about it XxX

USA and other countries it is so so soooooo easy to get it sorted.
Like easier than a walk in the park.

eg...... have you ever ordered anything from China but it did not arrive? When you checked the tracking it says delivered/signed for etc. and you loose your paypal case because of this? hmmmmmm

and no, not one time have a i purchased something from china and have tracking show delivered when it was not. At least this does not occur in the USA with USPS, UPS, FEDEX OR DHL....

I too have never had that happen. But reputable couriers in the UK have GPS based tracking to track where an item was marked delivered - DPD is an example I was on the phone while they were doing it, they told me the exact door number, basically they delivered to the wrong address and had to go pick it up.

No doubt smaller and cheaper couriers can be abused.

Did you not know, non-receipt does not necessarily mean case is opened? It means buyer confirmed the item has not yet been received, and it was all done via ebay chat!

I see it this way - the amount saved on not using tracking (for goods under $30) can pay for the odd non receipt claim. In any case you can claim a minimum amount for not received from regular post anyway.......although claiming it is a hassle....

anything higher than $30 goes with tracking.

lots of options, sellers stick with the lower prices carriers though...

couriers give you tracking included in prices and you add more cover if you need it.

USPS is equiv of Royal mail, and for under 2kg dimensions 35x45x16 cm it is £2.85 without tracking and if it is INR you can claim for £22. If you pay an extra £1 it is tracked and you are covered for £50.

with Royal mail though, when the dimensions are bigger the price shoots up, so people then go for couriers...

So when people say they dont have enough profit to cover shipping they are making a couple bucks max as a general rule?

I suppose it depends on your point of view, really low value stuff is obviously sent economy, but someone might think as low as $15 is worth covering

I bought a couple of things on ebay over xmas and they arrived tracked and they were worth very little....and then I am sometimes surprised to get expensive stuff stuffed though my letterbox with no tracking.....

noob sellers often make mistakes, experienced ones can usually gauge the right price cover balance.......
