johnking72 that's what most don't understand you run an account right from the start legit or stealth it can last years and years.

How did you resolve when ebay asked to proof of merchandise or proof of owners? I try to send invoice of my friend eshop and ebay will still ask again to provide something other, move you from one to other department to contact and again provide same, after time it will not make sense and you will never know if your documents is valid for ebay or not, they will be never respond: yes it is correc and you cant continue, if they feel that something is maybe not clear, rather they will be not respond you to any question and your account stay restriced all the time... problem is not proof of identity or adress... problem is proof of merchandise and other documents related to the product you have sold

I have been here longer than the age of this thread about 13 years and I have 13 year old stealth eBay accounts.
Just putting it out there. I know it’s frustrating but there’s hope it can be done

My wife is queen of ebay...has been on since 2001. They regularly remove negative feedback from her account because they think she is the bomb. She has 20,000 positive feedback. Like, three negatives...and two of those are because of me.

Ebay can be done.

I've started my own account and have been running it since 2017...no problems. Not sure why you are getting suspended.

It is not hard to last on eBay.
You have to understand and research your market as much as possible. That includes taking notes and observing most activities. Even those of your competitors. If you are in the electronics market or one that's known for counterfeits and such, that rule certainly applies to you. ;)

EBay Stealth is just one tool (if not the most important) that helps with lasting.
However, you have to combine that with your product knowledge and move accordingly.

My Stealth account has been open since April 2018. I have had no problems until now. Pay Pal wants proof of ownership from me. problem is it is a stealth store. Owner does not exist. Still trying to figure this out.

Have been going stealth on an account since 2012 8 years now. Ebay and PayPal. Borrowed 75k from PayPal in total. 15k feedback unlimited items for sale.

Can be done .

I got to say some people on here are lying about how long they had a stealth account without no problem...I got 1 account going over a year now...And that because I only sell couple thousand or less a month on it..sometimes 600-800 a month...If you selling stuff in high volume you gonna get a message from ebay or paypal in 6-7 months...it never fells....And I been doing this for over 4 years...maybe the older accounts are safer...best to have 15-20 accounts going at the same time to cover the dead accounts you gonna get..It keeps the money flowing....

some of my items were Vero'd last year - but they did not shut down my account I stopped selling thise items. The funny thing is all my stuff was legit they were a ton of sellers selling the same items I was only they were scams - I ignored them to my detriment so I have been "policing" those items my set reporting the scammers to ebay and so far so good no issues.

I have had stealth accounts for at least 9 years unmolested and sell VERO items but only list 1 maybe 2 per month per acct.

12 months without being unmolested would be a dream, I get a account suspended about once per month, but probably because of the items im selling.

I have stealths coming up to 16 months now.

And stealths that were banned immediately within 20 minutes of creation to never be reinstated.

It's pot luck. Create 10 accounts. 7 will survive ebay but fail on the paypal 2.5k verification. 3 will survive both ebay and paypal.

It's a numbers game.

I got shut down for having a 3.5% defect rating for...USED CAR PARTS. Every customer was totally understanding if something didn't work for their car, that's just the nature of the business. I had 100% feedback. 99% shipped on time. It was my only source of income to support my family. And eBay support couldn't care less.

ok, but WHY did you have a 3.5% defect rate? That has nothing to do with what you sell or your customers feelings or actions. It's on YOU. 3.5% is A LOT. So how many times did you cancel a transaction because of not in stock, and how many times did you not bother to refund a buyer and let ebay close the case for you?

ello kiddies, Mates did you know if you had a suspended ebay. you could have your real account resurected. If you call ebay you can ask than they should have you reinstated. Especialy if you only had customer complaints or strikes on your acount. If you owe money it may not work. I regained full use of my own ebay and paypal account

If you want good long term results then appear like a regular user, don't do high risk acts. Having a tenured account helps.

I Search on eBay. There are many products to work on that and get good selling.But the problem they are are not Flexible sometimes they banned the accounts. Latest Technology need to work on these issues to fix these. Same like technology work on Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Many many accounts, no any suspensions in few years. Same with PP. But accounts are used maybe once a month due their number and the type of items being sold.

Mine are good now over 7 years.

I'll tell you how I got suspended the first time, which is maybe unusual. This was back in 2003-2004, and I was in high school. Back then people could add an AboutMe page to their profile, and I did add some information about myself. I ended up getting suspended for being under 18 and using eBay. What was weird about this was, at the time, eBay's TOS said you could be under 18 and use eBay with a parent's permission. I pointed this out, and they didn't care; they said they 'appreciated my interpretation of the terms' but the account would remain suspended.

My experience is that if you add an incorrect SSN, they will require you to submit some documentation to confirm your ID, which was easy to do.

Nope. 15+ year old, consistently 99-100% positive feedback account and have been harassed by eBay or PayPal (pre-split) at least once every 1-2 years throughout the account's lifetime. Proof of identity/delivery/inventory, etc. It never ends.

Once all of my inventory has been sold I'm done with this site.

I only sell real genuine products so I can say things went almost well every time.
I had 1 stealth account suspended that I believe the reason was selling to much too fast (I did not wait some months and did not sold slowly in the beggining like we should do).

I have had an eBay Stealth account now for over 6 years- almost 7 now. I have a 99.3% feeback- out of 3304 sales. I've had no problems- or none that I wasn't able to work around- this whole time. Managed payments came and I was able to get thru that check. Now, for the past 2 weeks my payouts have been held. They want a photo id or my account will be further restricted. I've done so good- come so far. I'm hoping this is not the end of the road for me. Before this- my story would've been a success story of a 6+ year stealth account.
