Ebay cookies on iPhone

This is just a heads-up for those who tether their laptops to their iphone...

When you sync your iphone to itunes, the cookies are stored. If you delete them after syncing, then a few days later re-sync, it will put the cookies back on your iphone! It stores your cookies in itunes.

This nearly cost me an ebay account.

Can I use my iphone for ebay since it uses a dynamic ip?

I tether, I don't use my iphone for eBay directly, but just it's internet connection when I need to. So the only cookies that I worry about are the ones on my computer.

I have been tethering my iphone lately at home, and am actually thinking about doing away with our home internet and landline phone. My wife has an iphone too so she can tether as well.

My question is in regards to using ebay with tethering. I have multiple accounts as many others do. As far as cookies, someone said itunes stores your cookies. However, if you were to switch your user accounts, wouldn't the cookies still be seperated in iTunes per user account?

If you are tethering, you only have to worry about cookies on your PC/Laptop. The tethering process only uses the internet connection on the phone, and doesn't read any of the cookies on the phone.

Also; internet connectivity can be hit or miss in bad weather, so getting rid of your home internet may not be the best idea.

Well I may do a test and open a new account and see how long it lasts with tethering. I'll keep ya'll updated.
