Simon and Metabank - extra suspicion?
 

I think I read in some other post that Ebay knows when you are using a Simon card to get on/get back on Ebay and therefore subjects your account to heightened scrutiny. If I remember correctly, the post said something about all cards from Metabank (the bank that Simon uses) are flagged.

Any truth to this statement? I think Simon is an amazing service, but am I sabotaging my chances of being suspended by using a Simon giftaccount to secure my Ebay/PP accounts?

Quite frankly how do they know anything other than if it is a visa or MC?
Just like a VIN on a car, do certain digits stand for something and one (or group of digits) stand for the issuer?

Here is another question regarding CCs.

I have a checking account that I keep less than 100 dollars in. I have a debit card (MC) for it. What would be to stop me from reporting that card stolen, have it cancelled and a new one issued? I am assuming that that number would have to change, right? In the eyes of EB it would be a new card, not the old card linked to the suspended account. Could I also use that card (or even the companion checking account that it draws its funds from) to set up a PP account?

The only thing that I wouldn't do is to use any of my real info to set up the EB account.

If I already have a verified PP account can I set up this second one with all of my legit information (name and address) or do they limit one account per person?

Can I give my name and my office address to PP if the work address is different than the one on the account? This seems like a may be an easy fix for me?

Hehe, it's just a credit card guys. You can use any credit card with eBay that hasn't been used before. It doesn't matter where that credit card is coming from either. Requesting a new card from your bank will work fine. It's the actual cc numbers you need to change. Also, as in the guide, you can't use your same name and when registering with eBay. EBay's CC systems doesn't verify name and address per card 90% of the time. Easy stuff guys, don't over think it.

All my cards start with 4016... I guess if this becomes a problem... Just use a different company for your virtual card. We have to work on a good list of alternatives for the guide Modee.

eBay doesn't care. They seem to term people just for being new and that's what I find.

you can buy 56 FB LOL i dont use simon anymore but all my old CG start with 4016 aswell u can also use netspend smartone and delux-card :) hope those get added to yourlist:)

what can you buy for a penny that won't put you under the EB microscope?

9 ebay accounts with 9 paypal accounts with 9 4016 VC attached to all 9 eBay accounts. No problem yet
