How can I make sure the company pay me share if I helped them finding investor

If I helped a UK company finding investor in Hong Kong or China, and the director promised me if I helped I will get a percentage of their company's share. How can I assure the company pay me share, writing my name on their shareholder if I helped them finding investor? The deal has not been started Many thanks

You should have a legal contract drawn...and have legal advisor involved.
