Chinese ebayers based in UK
 

recently I have seen a lot of chinese registered ebayers selling in the UK but able to dispatch items rather quickly (not as quick as us uk sellers of course)

But we are talking a lead time of around 2-3 days which is reasonable.

How do they do it? reason I ask is because their return address are all UK based.

Are there companies that offer dispatch service when you give them instructions or something?

Would love to know how they work!

Maybe they just shipped their products to UK warehouses and from there they ship to final buyer?

Pretty simple, they ship massive amounts of products to the UK, then ship them out from the UK.

I can confirm that this is being done! I asked some of my long time suppliers if they have warehouse in USA? They told me they can only do UK.

Also, payments to China suppliers are now often transacted through UK.

One word, RESHIP. Get to know it well and how they work and you too can ship to all sorts of markets, might open some new revenue streams for you.

Damn.. So basically these chinese manufactuers / suppliers have taken on our roll of reselling products in the UK at a fraction of the price!?

Not only that....that same supplier you are getting your stuff from....they themselves are competing with you, so in essence they (Chinese Suppliers) are double dipping.

I have to laugh at this, I've seen English people do it (used to work for one) and they don't know how they hurt the market/industry or even themselves when they do it. They just see that they are getting the sales and other people are not. It's only when their bills come at the end of the month they realise they have made so little profit they can't sustain the business model. I have to wonder how the Chinese seem to keep going.

I worked for a guy that insisted on selling an item at 3.20 from his shop that I would sell at 12.99 on eb.ay. He had 5 staff, a warehouse and office to pay for and very expensive tastes. The one Christmas I worked there I was getting more sales than him. He only kept it open for so long because his wife had a successful business and kept using it to fund his.
