Upgrading cellphone question

I've been using an iphone 4 for about nearly two years now, just got a 5s recently but I still haven't gone to the store so they can pit in a new sim card to the 5s. I made a backup of the iphone 4 and synced the 5s with that backup.

Just wanted to know if making the change would be alright.

If the iPhone 5s is a Brand New and never been used you would be fine. If it's used and At some time before you had eBay or PayPal app on the phone then it's not something I would trust doing.
