Ssn and ebay paypal question

When will ebay and paypal ask for my ssn? if my bank and credit card or confirmed will they ask for my ssn at some point? so i could keep selling items on ebay?

PayPal can ask for SSN at any time they want, most of the time they will ask if you reach the 200 item/$20,000 mark or you are "projected to reach the 200/$20K" mark.
