ebay UK can see your real phone number from Skype call
 

Be aware, ebay UK can see your real phone number if you call them from Skype app on your mobile.

Recently I called ebay UK but the call was cut off and after 1 minute I received a message from them, says:

Hello xxx,

My name is xx and I’m contacting you from eBay.

Your call was disconnected during a conversation with me, and I’ve been trying to contact you on (xxxxxxxxxxx). Unfortunately, I have been unable to reach you.

The above number is actually my real number.

This is new to me. Anyone else experience the same thing?

Seems possible. Skype runs over a phone line, after all.

If you want to call ebay by Skype, please use your computer Skype instead of mobile.
