Anything To Do W/Built Ebay Acc W/Limited PP?

So I have my original ebay account that is still live (it had a few PP accounts attached and limited to it.) Is there any way to change the info on the account and attach a new PP to it, or is it linked with some internal account number that will link up the two?

Or any other ideas on how to keep using the original ebay account since it has like 5k feedback?

Thanks

Simple answer: No.

You cannot reuse anything, ever.

Better to start from scratch.

Yes... simply add a new PayPal to your strong eBay account. Do so using a tax ID number if you have to... but you won't be prompted to do so unless you hit a certain withdrawl limit.

I added a brand new PayPal account to an aged 10 year old inactive eBay account. I was advised against it... but it worked perfectly fine... and now the inactive account and new paypal are both strong as can be. The one difference is my account was so old there was no longer a PayPal listed under 'my ebay'. I would think removing a PayPal.. and adding another one after a couple month cooling off period would be fine. But you may not even need to do that... PayPal and eBay are MUCH more separate than people lead you to believe, espeiecially now a year or two after PayPal was sold. If everything looks good on the eBay end.. they most likely do not even know your PayPal is limited. So it should be fine to remove one and add another. You will just go through limits the first couple months, holding money, etc like a new account

edit: But obviously follow the same protocol as you would with an eBay account... don't log onto the new PayPal from the same IP as your old one. Make a completely new PayPal that can not be linked to the old one... with new (but by law accurate) information. Tax ID in place of SSN, etc. Don't worry about linking names, lots of people have the same names. Use a new phone number, a different address (old address, new address, business vs home address).

Here is what you have to know.......You CAN add a new PayPal but be aware that the new PayPal may or MAY NOT survive.....you run the risk of getting the new PayPal limited as well, so proceed at your own risk.

Yea I've been reading other threads and thinking on this. I think I'm gonna switch the info and try attaching a new PP that hasn't been attached to my computer/IP.. and just manage it on the one I made it on. Worst case, PP holds onto more of my money for 6 months. Its just Soooooo much easier to get sales rolling on a 5k feedback vs 0-100 feedback account.. even if you're selling at 75% of your next highest competitor.

As long as you are ok with never knowing EXACTLY when a link-takedown could occur...

Thats assuming eBay knows or cares... PayPal will never link if the proper methods are used. OH and obviously a completely new bank account in addition to your new address, and tax ID. Name doesnt matter, but I used Joe on one and Joseph on the other and it was bulletproof enough to send money back and fourth sseveral times to 'family' without any issue.

That's just false. Every eBay account has a unique ID number which can easily be seen by going to any of your eBay billing invoices. On EB/PP servers your eB and PP accounts are linked by account ID, so there's no getting around that.

On the other hand though, there's no sense in wasting a good account. I added a new Paypal to my best eBay account about 2 weeks ago and I've taken in a few g's since then. Processing payments exclusively with a merchant account just isn't feasible on the modern eBay platform, because most customers are brainwashed into using Paypal.

So OP, I recommend going ahead with the new Paypal. Go for it, while also focusing on building up new accounts. Like others (and you) have said it probably isn't going to last. But each day your eBay account doesn't have a PP attached is a day you are losing out on sales.
