Paying for Shipping when you first create account?

How do you guys pay for shipping on the items you initially sell on a brand new account? There's obviously going to be zero dollars in your PayPal account. So do you hand write the Shipping address on a mailer and take it up to USPS? Then manually enter the tracking number?

Or do you print the label through PayPal and charge the Vanilla Gift card under file? I only have 20 bucks on those cards. Or is there another way?

You can use the gift card. Long as its registered to the account you're fine.

I know for 2 of my new accounts, Ive been having issues trying to use the
pay for shipping later' function so I had to use my VCCs to pay for shipping till there was an actual balance.

Hmm, I used the VCC just now and it took the shipping cost out of the money that was on hold that was there for my sold item.

So instead of 20 dollars on hold. I have 17 dollars on hold. cause 3 dollars for shipping. I guess thats normal?

Yes. How else would paypal expect someone to ship their item? Obviously no reason to hold the shipping charges. Only the item charges

I charge free shipping. It came out of the item charge

We pretty much all charge free shipping. But what I meant was, paypal is smart enough ( tho rarely smart in other situations....) to understand that part of the money is for shipping. Thankfully.
