I first got 7 day ban,then 30 day ban. I'm more careful now.

If you have had the 30 day ban then you are close to being thrown.. very close.. carefully look at what you are listing

People assume there's a set number or something similar...there isn't! Every account is treated differently. Some accounts can take more hits than others, there is no set formula. In most cases after the 30 day selling limitation you are close, how close? Only Ebay knows....and no one here works for them.

Naturally there has to be a formula, its the bots that first flag your account. However, its not as simple as 2-3 things. They take into account tens, hundreds maybe even thousands of factors all computed by bots. Some of the obvious such as Feedback/Negative ratio, Sales, Life of account, ect, etc.... To many for us to know....

All that is just first flag from bots. Then manual review anything can happen from the extreme to nothing at all...

The answer is infinite...

What MM78 said is spot on. They are all treated differently. One account I had with 700+ 100% feedback, 11 years old received 7 messages about policy violations. (Over the course of about 2 years)
It had a 7 day suspension, 30 day suspension, another 7 days suspension, and then banned. And numerous Warning Messages in between.

Just posting my experience.

I'm sure we have some eBay/PayPal/Amazon employees that are lurkers.

As for how much an account can take.. it varies as other have mentioned. Older established accounts can take more abuse while new accounts can get limited/suspended in no time. It depends entirely with how the account was created and what you do with the account (high risk actions == fast suspension)

hell lol I wish. Being a fox in the hen house, would make me A LOT of money.

but as Aspkin said, there are definitely ebay amazon people lurking. They'd be extremely dumb not to.

I'm curious tho, if any of the info on here, can or has swayed any ebay policy.
