Buyer claims item arrived damaged... USPS shows it's still in transit, and moving

I sold a small item on eBay... the buyer claimed it arrived damaged after only 2 days.. which is amazing time to make it from Ohio to Miami first class. It still showed in transit, but I thought the carrier might have forgot to scan it when it was 'delivered' on friday, but as of Saturday at 8pm it is still moving, and was last scanned departing Opa Locka FL facility, still in transit. She sent a photo.. but clearly it must be of HER broken item she is replacing, and not my item. I already agreed to send a replacement and printed a label.... but when I looked again I found out this new information.

She seemed honest enough, but apparently not. Or was a mistake. Will eBay take the time to see the timestamps on her communications and on the tracking information to see my side... or will I be screwed as always and eBay sides with the buyer no matter how illogical? It's a cheap item I have already written off as a loss... but if shes scamming me I really don't want to send it. Hoping to figure it out while I still have time to void the new label.

She claimed she would rather wait for a replacement item than receive a refund. which is odd because she doesn't have any need for TWO of this particular item. So I believed her. But clearly she is mistaken.

Since its cheap, just eat it and move on. Block her so you wont have a habitual stalker.

I really think this person likely bought from you because she wanted to give a second to someone else, or planned this all along for one reason or another. Even if this is the case, I agree with Big CJ and highly recommend you give in, send another, and be done with it. ESPECIALLY if it's an affordable thing to do, which you say that it's not an expensive item. Just the frustration of a customer, even when it's a scammer, it can come back and bite you ten times worse than it's worth. You'll get a good FB, have no issues, and have this completely in your rear view mirror. And of course maybe block them from bidding in the future. But there's a definite value of having something like this sewn up neatly as a case closed and to protect your rating and account and being able to move forward relatively unscathed.
