The out of stock option

Not sure how long ago eBay has implemented this but they have allowed personal users to use GTC(Goods til cancelled), which is brilliant!

However, I've been wondering if my item goes out of stock and I have the out-of-stock option enabled on my GTC, does it retain my sales history and watch list, therefore saving the listing position on best match?

I have been looking around for answers but I couldn't find a solid topic on it or an actual confirmation.

Hope anyone knows!

It will retain your sales history and position.

I wonder how long private users have been able to have gtc listings. Last time I tried it was not possible. (though that was years ago)

No joke but on eb.com I have 3 GTC listings that have been up since 2010/2011 - I haven't had to revise or relist in over 6 years - they don't bring me a lot of sales but it's funny for me that they just autorenew.

I know, it's brilliant! Thank you :)

rsot- Sounds very convenient. I assume you have a shop?

It does retain your sales history and watch list

But not necessarily your position. For example I ran out of stock and was waiting on inventory to arrive, and when I finally updated my stock a few days later, my Best Match position had plummeted

I was 6th in google search in ALL of ebay for my particular item before running out of stock. I'm like 30 now. I still sell the same amount tho, interestingly enough

I second Kirkland. It doesn't necessarily retain your position. Views, Sales, watchers are all saved.
