Hello, and thank you for looking, i wanted to know whether ebay can trace an account where a tracking number is used, i have been trying to upload a tracking number to my order and it keeps saying its invalid. thanks for answering in advance. ..

no, they cannot trace u by tracking number. I run several accounts and I am shipping out from the same usps postal office and never got a problem

Can they? Yes, of course they could.

They already use the tracking info to tell if a package was scanned by the post office within your handling time limit, and if it arrived on time.

Would they use it to cross check your package origin and see if it matches your address and those of your other stealth packages? Extremely unlikely.

It probably just wouldn't be specific enough to be useful.
