First sale AMOUNT threshhold.....

Ok so I sold something for $450 straight thru paypal. First ever thing. BOOM limited with all everything they ask DL, SSN, invoice everything....I don't understand how this limited the account.....it was a USA account receiving from a UK account, there is no relation to either accounts (aka previous links). I have had like 1000$ first sale on an account and nothing ever happened. But this one it did....does anybody have an idea or was it just pure BOT luck?

how old is the account and how many previous transactions?

That is way too high an amount to be receiving as your very first transaction on what I can only assume is a relatively new account.
You need to start with low risk (and low value) items for the first few items at the very least. I never even try such high value items before I know the account is very well established as a seller.

was the Ip similar to another account with issues? did you have a vba attached?. usually this brings on limitation. also, what type of vcc did you use?. some vcc's can cause limitations when receiving large payments on a new account

This is 100% correct. The first few items MUST be low dollar low amount and low-risk. Think items you buy at the dollar store: Notepads, office supplies, batteries, $1 "trinkets" etc. List those, not a $450, or even a $100 item might get you limited right away.

None of the those caused the limitation, the OP took in a large dollar amount on their first transaction.....simple as that.

That is not always the case. you can take in a large about on a new account if its fully verified. I done it countless times. (matter of fact took a large payment on one day old account today) there where other factors that led to the OP account be limited.

if one account was limited for taking in a large payment on a new account all of them should be.

The amount isn't always the issue. I've had PLENTY of accounts that I made receive $350+ EASY within 5 DAYS of making the account with nothing but a card attached and NOT verified. But that was more than a month ago when it was easier, because it seems like they started being really picky in the middle of April. Now they complain about even smaller payments and consider EVERYTHING high risk.

It could be a number things, it's hard to say. I would think though it's a combination of high dollar value + account creation. If you followed eBay Stealth you shouldn't have any issues and if you had a lower first transaction value you should of been okay.

Exactly.

It seems like every year around this time PayPal being really picky about big transaction (Anything over 90$).

There's no problem receiving big payments in your first sale.. it can be because of 2 things :

1. VCC (But if you can accept small payment, like 10$ without being limited then it has nothing to deal with the VCC also).

2.Big amount during this time.

It also happenning to me now, until next month I could receive 200 and even 500$ for the first transaction, now anything over 120$ gets my limited right away..

What I did last year was selling something first 10-90$ for the first transaction, wait about a month and sell the same item again, and in the third month selling what ever i want (No more than 500$).

It supposed to work, although it's really sucks to wait that long, there's no choice for now :(
