eBay Increasing Limits Automatically - Question..
 

Hey everyone,
My question is.. does your PayPal account need to be verified in order for eBay to automatically increase your limits? I spoke with an eBay rep (foreign rep) , who said in order for account limits to increase automatically the linked PayPal acct needs to be verified. Is this true?
I do verify my Accts eventually, when enough funds are in the acct to warrant the verification. I don't want to use a bank acct up, before I know the stealth will last.. I know VBAs are available , but I feel (just personal belief) that adding a VBA first... then real acct a month or so later will draw suspicion. I could be wrong, but just trying to play it safe m, without certainty.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

They can raise limits without bank just smaller raise in my experience.

Your in the US, so luckily you have Virtual Bank Accounts (VBA's) at your disposal. Which means you can verify the account without compromising one of your own bank accounts. When you ready to add your own bank to withdraw, you can do it later. But at least your account would be verified in the mean time.

No. Not true.

Your PP doesn't need to be verified for limits to automatically go up.

I also wait until I know it is worthwhile to use up a bank account before adding it.

As usual the reps don't know their head from a hole in the ground.

I find the key to getting limit raises is to sell to the limit if possible, and list to the limit.

My account was never verified and my limits got increased automatically. Just keep focusing on maximizing the seller limits and hitting good feedback.

Not true at all, ebay reps are known for saying whatever they can to get you off the phone

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all your guys input! I was thinking the same thing, but I couldn't remember if any of mine were increased before I added my bank Accts, so I'm very happy you all confirmed what I originally thought... the rep had no clue what the hell he was saying!
