Default Understanding Ebay selling limits

So I have 1123 active listings right now.
I have sold maybe 100 items this month so far.

My limits page says:
Code:
1,155 listed and sold / 1,500 limit on quantity of items

$4,296.74 more
$29,687.26 listed and sold / $33,984.00 limit
I do not understand how this is calculated.
I have 1123 listed. Not 1155. Even if I add up all my "listed AND items I've sold this month" items, I end up at more than 1155.

Also, how do I calculate the $4,296.74 items I can list more. Can I add new products up to that value, or does everything new I list, AS WELL AS everything I sell, get deducted from that sum?

If you have multiples of an item, that counts towards the limit even if they're not really shown.

1 listing with a quantity of 10 is 10 items towards your limit + your sold items.

Same thing is true for the $ limit. It says you can list $4296 more. You can list one item for $4296 or ( if your limit was high enough ) 4296 items at $1.

OR 1 listing with a quantity of 10 for $429.60 each.

Got it?

Thanks dallis and rsot.

So...
If I have $1,000 listed and sold. One $20 item ends without a sale. Does that mean that I have $9,980 listed and sold.

If I have $1,000 listed and sold, if a $20 item ends without a sale, then is relisted, does that mean that I still have $1000 listed and sold?

And, my third example, if I have $1,000 listed and sold, sell a $20 item, then relist it. Does that mean that I have $1,020 listed and sold, or $1,040?

when you list items on ebay.
It will come off of your allowance.
It will come off if it is sold or unsold or scheduled.

It will only come back onto your allowance if the buyer asks you to cancel. (choose the right cancellation option or it wont come back)

If the buyer does not pay it does not come back.

Limits reset at the 1st of every month.

Thanks Bunneh.

So what happens with my listings if I reach my limit and then another sale comes?

Or do my listings disappear when I hit my limit?

You can't magically list more than what you are allowed, it's that simple. If you have a 1,000 item limit....that's all you get for that month.

VIdim, just by looking at the numbers, you'll still get that sale.

But you cannot list more than what the limit is.

Do I make sense? I know it's confusing, but I'm trying to explain it in a simple way

@SaiJin & MM78

Thanks. I get it now. It is just something about the wording that Ebay uses that gets me a bit confused. I believe I am overanalyzing the phrase "listed and sold".

If you have a limit of $1000 and $1000 listed and sold, and a listing for $20 ends, then your total listed and sold is $980 and you can list another $20.

If I have $1,000 listed and sold, if a $20 item ends without a sale, then is relisted, does that mean that I still have $1000 listed and sold? Yes.

Same thing is true for the $ limit. It says you can list $4296 more. You can list one item for $4296 or ( if your limit was high enough ) 4296 items at $1. Yes. If your item limit allows 4296 more items.

OR 1 listing with a quantity of 10 for $429.60 each. Yes. Again if your item limit allows 10 more.
