i been banned from ebay for 7 days for listing fan made dvds of a certain pop star

after the 7 days iv chosen to relist them again

will i get banned again like are they wacthing me ?

Yes. Your account is now flagged for those items and if you list
them again your account could be closed.

its so annoying i have been given the approval from the artist to sell them and i have put the picture of the endorsement on the listings but they dont belive me !

Might get a 30 day ban next and you could take that as a final warning.

i get so annoyed as ebays staff banned me for 7 days not even the " copyright owner" complained as i have the authorisation from the artist wth a seal of approval but he is no longer here to defend me he has passed away

i just get annoyed that ebay took it into there own hands to ban me for 7 days even thogh the orignal artist didnt complain ?

Doesnt his estate deal with the authorized and unauthorized copies of his work. I really find it hard to believe anyone has approval to sell the type of DVD you sell

yes when i used to work on mjjsource multimedia section karen faye spoke to michael abut my work and he loved it and gave me the seal of approval

then my realtionship progressed to meeting the family and giving them material and also giving michael the material to rehearse to becuase sony was hlding all the footage not mj

you will get banned soon. Get authorization of the right owner and you should be fine (but you will never)

Then there should be an option to contact ebay and the pop star to let them know you have rights to sell the dvds.

The pop star authorization is nothing, even if he is the king of it, he is not the right owner of his music

Well, tell them , then you should be fine :doh:

if you are lucky you will get banned 30day before definitive limitation, but they also can decide to skip the 30 days, and permanantly ban you tomorrow.

you know your items are risky , as you mention it on another thread. you won't fool ebay with your story by telling them your were friend with the pop star lol.

Why not open your website in a country where DMCA doesn't exist ? Then you should be fine

Ive been speeding in my car for the last 10 years without a ticket....dont mean i wont get caught one day and have to pay the consequences.

Ive seen people for the last 6-12 months straight up selling drugs on Ebay. Like Illegal Drugs named in a creative manner.

If you are really LICENSED TO DISTRIBUTE that material....then you should have proof of it. There are legalities to what your selling. Its copyrighted!

i have the permission from the pop star to do this my ban of 7 days has been lifted
i sold them for 2 years prior to this silly thing

i have ful permisson from the artist

So I don't know about the UK but if the artist is dead.....usually his estate goes to someone....that new someone now is in control, thus your previous arrangement is no longer valid. Who ever is in charge of their estate is now who you need permission from.

the estate have to honur what the artist previous arrangemtns were

including all fanclubs he endorsed and merch sellers he endorsed
