From 0/0 to 10/1000
 

So I have an account that was initially a 0/0 (TextPlus created) and when i tried to call in I guess he didn't like my answers, and said he could give me 10/1000, but if i ever wanted to get an additional increase i would need to present ebay with documentation to show that i am who i am (a deed that shows i live where i say i do, etc).

I know you can call in every 25-30days to request an increase. Do you think its possible I could call in on this account to request an increase? Was that guy just blowing smoke up my ass? Or is calling in on this account probably of no use

It's that stupid question they always ask me "is that your street address? Have you lived there longer than 6 months?"

I haven't been using residential addresses for my ebay address i wonder if thats why :|

I think it is easy to assume he was blowing smoke up your ass, as they do this a lot. But then again, maybe it was legit. Now that you got 10/1000 limits though, you could just let the increases come naturally. Next increase could be 30 items, followed by 90/180/270 items, if you have the patience for that. But ebay is def full of liars or perhaps ppl with "little man syndrome" pressing buttons.

This couldn't be more true. The ambiguity of EB's answers sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. You can't always trust what they tell you.

Once they gave me a "lecture" about why I didn't "deserve" to have a particular bad FB removed that was clearly a policy violation as it contained profanity. I hung up and got another rep on the phone who removed it immediately.

Yeah, I'd sit it out a month or so and call and ask again. I doubt this is a policy, and I doubt they left a note in your file. At the best of times these turkeys don't know the rules, and at the worst of times they flat out lie.
