eBay Item Removed....and PayPal Banned??
 

Hello all,

So I've never had this happen before. I had a stealth account which I bought and it had a PayPal linked to it for auto payments. One of my items was removed because eBay is picky about dietary supplements. However, my PayPal was perma-banned. Has anyone had this happen before? Any way to prevent it?

Also, I had about 15 accounts that were my personal ones which were all removed because they were linked together and I had many items removed. So eBay banned them all permanently. However, my PayPal was not damaged at all. Only difference was the PayPal was not linked to any of them. Does that make a difference in getting the PayPal banned or not?

Were you using one PP for multiple EB accounts?

Yes I was using my personal PayPal for about 15+ eBay accounts. It took a few months before eBay even banned them. Was using multiple IPs, and I guess they just made the connection. But my PayPal was not harmed in the process after the eBays were banned. The PayPal was not linked in any way to the eBays, I just put the PayPal email in the listing under the payment section.

Also, to clarify, the 15+ accounts was a separate situation. Those were not stealth accounts, that was personal accounts. These were 2 separate situations, and I'm just trying to figure out if the PayPal being linked and an item being removed automatically bans the PayPal. For example, if I attached a VCC as the auto payment method instead of PayPal on eBay, would that save my PayPal if an item on eBay gets removed?

You were using one PayPal account for 15 eBay accounts? Whoa. Were you using that many accounts to avoid selling restrictions or limits? That will get you banned. And with personal accounts it doesn't matter if you use the same IP or not, I would have personally linked them together.

Yeah but my PayPal didn't get banned in that situation....I'm thinking it's because it wasn't actually linked to the eBays? Only the eBays were banned.

Just the other day somebody on here was bragging about using one PP across 25 accounts, telling us how we were all idiots and nothing would ever happen.

One item removal probably isn't going to get a PP banned. You're not really supposed to have 15 PP accounts with the same info, though, and that's probably what happened.

Did his PayPal account get banned or something? Was that the surprise?

One item removal did get 2 stealth PayPals banned. I think it's because they were linked to the PayPal through seller fees as auto payment. And I didn't have 15 PayPal accounts with the same info, I had 15 eBay accounts with different info but on one IP (didn't know about IP at the time). I had one PayPal, which did not get banned. The 15 eBays did.

Yeah, the single IP for 15 accounts will certainly draw attention.

His dietary supplements may have been a violation of paypals AUP policy

OP,

Most likely the first thing that triggers it is the Dietary supplements. If I were eBay, this would be on top of my concern list. And I'm sure you understand why.

Also you are using 1 paypal to multiple eBay is never a good idea.

I suggest you get the ebay stealth and actually learn how to operate an account...

Now back to Dietary supplements... did you get these from China?
