Should I ship item? Scam? Need help asap!
 

Hey everyone so today someone bought one of my items listed, priced around $120. When I took a look at the shipping address it was this:

182-21 150th Avenue
AUH 166865
Springfield Gardens, NY 11413
United States

Now I did some research and it turns out it is Aramex International Courier, and that the item's final destination is Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Has anyone came across this or something similar? Should I ship the item out or just cancel? Buyer has 100% feedback over 80. Just feel a little nervous for problems in the long run where the buyer might claim he never received since it is going outside the USA (which I have excluded every country except the USA). Need your guys help asap thanks!

That shouldnt be a problem. its a forwarding address
and you will get the signature once delivered/arrived in new york ,
as that is the address been given to you?

We ship to forwarding companies daily without problems. There are at least 20 of them we ship to on a regular basis. Orders destined for forwarding companies are just as likely to have issues after the sale as any other order. Many honest international customers use these companies simply to save on shipping costs.

You're safe to ship the order. Plus as bunneh hinted at, you are obligated to ship the order or your account will be penalized.

Thanks for the reply! Yes that is the shipping address that has been given to me in eBay and Paypal. Should I put it just like that? I have seen others not putting the dash (-) on the 182-21.

Yep, I've done it many times also, i don't know these people myself, but you'll likely be fine, go ahead and ship.

You might send it Priority so it's insured.

I don't like those buyers, but historically I've had little problem with them, as long as the correct address comes up in the printed shipping label properly. I seriously wouldn't worry about it as long as you have tracking.


I've actually shipped to that address myself in the past, but I'm sure it was a different buyer through the same handler there.


*and yeah, I'd leave the dash in there. But if you leave it out, I'm sure they get a zillion packages a day and the postal person will recognize them.

Please, this is fraud....cancel the shipment if possible....Almost got scammed by some Jacce Oje with exactly the same address.

Ship, a long time will pass until they actually receive the item and the timeframe for dispute will pass.

Wow, thank you for the welcome 😁 Was not sure how active this forum was... Ok I can go through in detail then....

I listed a camera for $1,500 on FB yesterday and I got a message from a Nedyalka Robeva(Dimanche) which is a strange profile. I can't determine if it is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ account just yet, but my BS meter is almost at 90%. Link to their FB profile:

Anyway they want to pay using PayPal and they want to send the product to the address that is mentioned at the beginning of this thread. What really got me started was he wanted to pay and additional $200 for shipping. Which normally if you are buying something expensive you account for those times of things. I make up a invoice and send it to their email account, Kiloway700@outlook.com for $1819. About 30 mins later I get this email below.

I mean I can see on the email where whom ever wrote it actually used the tab function to get to the spacing correct. Then I went online and found you guys to figure out if the address is a scam or not? Did the writer of this post get screwed over by losing their shipped item?

Funny part is I actually know this area of NYC and I know a business owner who is right around the corner from this address. I should have them go there and see what is what.. lol They are some towing guys who aren't the nicest people if you tick them off, but honestly both of us have better things to do, like rearranging my sock drawer.

I have a feeling this is all a bunch of BS. Please thoughts, ideas, or confirmation would be much appreciated 👍

Just read the reviews for the shipping address. This is one of 112, most of which are negative, one star:

"For sure some sort of front for an electronics scam operation. This organization will ask about buying your electronics online, say they want to buy it for their daughter or something and ask you to ship the electronics to them overnight with no intention of paying. I would avoid at all costs."

I have same address and JUSt sent my tabley and keyboard to a girl (supossedly in love with named Esther) and I had the same feeling but sent it asnyhow. At this VERY MOMENT I am texting with "her". It's been 3 months and I've yet to hear the sound of her voice, not even a video chat, and NO ADDRESS of where in "Wisconsin" she lives, except close to/just ouotside of Madison, WI

Thats most likely a forwarding address.
As long as your tracking number shows delivery to THAT address, you're good.
Ship and don't worry about it.

I was a bit worried when I got my first sale with an address like that as well, but in the end it was all good. I even had a few more sales like this and never caused any problems. Make sure to use a carrier that uses signatures though. And by the way, if its a forwarding address and your buyer claims the item was broken or anything, eBay got you covered with addresses like these and they will not accept the claim

Signature confirmation doesn't help much, it just costs more.

off topic, PayPal used to require signature for items over $250 to get you covered

used to be 750. Do they not require anything?

Also, I noticed that a buyer can open a dispute after tracking information is no longer even available to view on the shippers website... Anyone experience that one?

Absolute scam and they are still going strong as of today. Your post was from 2017 & because I was too foolish not too look into sites like these, I had to stop an overnight shipment to this address at 5:30 am. That is how long it took me to figure out that they use incorrect domain names and send false email from Ebay & PayPal. Unfortunately, this was my first Ebay sale as I should have researched much more. They set you up with the PayPal request, have you overnight it, and from what I've learned from others....receive item and then cancel PayPal. I was so freaking livid but I guess I only have myself to blame. Sucks that scum like this even exist but I guess it is the world in which we live.
