ebay starts a twitter account

Ok so i was on ebay in the deal of the day - and I seen a new feature - Follow ebay deals on twitter - if you dont know what twitter is I thought it was gay at first but after I started using it I began to relise it is the most powerful marketing tool out thier - So I have been building the sites twitter over 1000 as of now and then I relized that twitter cause really be the death of ebay - with all the problems they have been haveing and the bad rep and now with twitter having almost more traffic than ebay - why am I going to contnuie to PAY for hits too my auctions when I can just send out a tweet and have thousands of people look at what ever I tweeet out thier - ebay has notice like many other site and hopped on the twitter game - but can the really stop the tweets - I mean its so easy to just go and follow all of ebays customers now - lol - and again who is gonna want to pay - what do you think???

I'm not even sure what Twitter is, I hear it talked about all the time on the radio etc.

OK...Off to Google to do some Twitter research.

I've been researching it the last few weeks, and it does appear to be the next marketing giant. I did a lot of marketing on MySpace a while back, but now it's full of kids with no money. If you have a website, there are lots of places to post blogs, tweets, etc for marketing your products.

And I agree that Twitter could bring a lot of the alternative eBay sites to the surface. A lot of us have had a little success on the other sites, but more exposure would help.

:D

Twitter is great for generating fast traffic to websites, especially blogs.

It's a key tool in traffic generation for my autoblogs.

eBay isn't really active on Twitter yet, I wonder if they will leverage this marketing tool heavily in the future.

Well...I signed up for Twitter, just a personal account.

And Guess What? Found a X-Girlfriend and we have been in contact since the 1st day of joining Twitter. She's flying out from Seattle on Thursday for a 2 week stay.

Should be FUN?

I signed up the other day but haven't taken the time to figure it all out yet. I can see the potential just need to capitalize on it.
