Since May 2009, eBay no longer suspends anyone for unpaid strikes.
Since May 2009, eBay no longer suspends anyone for unpaid strikes.
Instead they just aren't allowed to bid.
This means that people no longer have to pay anyone on eBay ever and they can go around negging everyone and not paying, never to be suspended. And once they're limited, they can just change all their registered info in eBay to fa ke, then make a brand new account with their real info (real info means eBay won't take the neg off for fa ke info) and just keep doing this forever.
It's also four strikes now instead of three. This is on top of how deadbeats also get one free unpaid strike removed each month just by asking.
After four unpaid strikes, deadbeats get the letter below: Quote:

If you have not paid for the items yet, please do so now and inform the sellers of your payments. If you've already paid for your items or have otherwise resolved any issues with the sellers, contact them to remove the UPI strikes.
-- Submit an appeal --
If you're unable to remove the UPI strikes after contacting the sellers, please submit an appeal to eBay. If your appeal is successful, the UPI strikes will be removed. You can check for UPI strikes, respond to them, and keep track of their status by signing in to the eBay Resolution Center:

In the future, please take care of UPI strikes as soon as you receive them to help prevent restrictions from being placed on your account.

well, I know this sucks, but they are pretty well suspended anyway since they have to contact seller to remove the strike to bid.
Just like when i got 5% neg fbacks for 1mth (sold 7 things, got 3 negs due to Bank Policy), so had to contact buyers to remove... or suspended!
Not to mention this was a slow mth and mth before sold 64 things, no negs! was just moving everything off PP that mth... buyers got pissed!
back on topic... they are trying all they can to keep buyers, not sellers! |

nomore, you missed some points. Buyers get one free unpaid strike removed per month so in a month, they'll be buying again. Second, without being suspended, they can make a new account, cause trouble for the same seller, and the seller can't report them to ebay for being already suspended. |

I think you mean immediate payment required, right? Using Buy it now over regular bidding would be no difference. |

another thing that sucks is that your only allowed like 5 feedback revision request a year.
that is also retarded....because some of my buyers gave me a negative rather quickly without contacting us, after they contacted us, they said they will remove negative feeedback, so i initiate the feedback revision request....well...i did that, but they failed to revise it by the due date...so the neg. feedback remains and it also counted towards the 5 feedback revision limit......this has happend to me 3 times already.
That feedback revision limit is retarded. They should give us unlimited feedback revision request. Doesn't ebay know that there are many retarded buyers? |
