| | | GOGETER10 | 05-29-2017 09:06 PM | BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. So far on this new account I have..... I've purchase over 80 small items averaging .50 per item. I've received 40 feedbacks in only 2 days..... I figure getting to 100 feedbacks is gonna cost me around $100 dollars.... I'm using BIDNAPPER to automatically BID FOR ME....It's working wonders..... Just thought I'd share..... |
Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. you spent that much on "buyer" feedback......what do you think that will do for your account? |
| jakobrockz | 05-29-2017 09:57 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. Buyer feedback does absolutely nothing except for the illusion to bidders/buyers to YOUR products that you're a "trusted" seller.
It does not affect your seller metrics or hopes for higher limits whatsoever |
| slokor | 05-29-2017 10:00 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. It can actually be harmful for the account cause its considered feedback manipulation - youre essentially buying the feedbacks.
If eBay's bots get wind of what youre doing the account will be suspended. |
Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. In small amounts you can get away with it.
On a larger scale though, if your purchasing 100 $1 items, your bound to get some form of limitation for feedback manipulation. |
Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. Buyer feedback has no effect on "seller feedback status" |
| dallis | 05-30-2017 10:51 AM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. Buyer feedback is completely meaningless, and seller feedback doesn't factor into much of anything anymore either. |
| GOGETER10 | 05-30-2017 12:23 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. So when POTENTIAL BUYERS see a feedback score of 100 plus it doesn't make them feel more comfortable doing business with you?? I think feedback gets your more bids and sales.... don't you think?? |
| slokor | 05-30-2017 12:27 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. If I looked at a seller's feedback and saw it was all from sellers id think it was fishy.
And as I mentioned above the practice itself is risky cause it can be considered feedback manipulation. |
| bjammin | 05-30-2017 12:30 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. It does get you trust from the buyers, if they do not research your feedback. I always look at their feedbacks before I buy, but that doesnt mean your buyer will.
On the ebay side, it does not help you with your ebay seller account cause you have not gained trust as a seller. eBay does see buyer feedback and seller feedback differently. And buying items that are that cheap (especially under $1 that never get shipped) can cause them to temporarily restrict you or suspend you. |
| martyjump | 05-30-2017 02:09 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. This is just my own personal opinion, of course.
As others have mentioned, it's kind of risky doing it on the scale you are and it's not worth it to have that many... for reasons that others have pointed out.
However, I disagree with some of the posts on here that it's completely pointless. For example, if you have a brand new account with no feedback or only a few most people aren't going to buy from you. But if you have say 3 feedback from selling and you want to get to 10 to get a yellow star and make your account look better and give you a little boost why not? In my opinion, most people don't look THAT closely at feedback. If you have enough feedback and its 100% positive it's going to look better than an account with just a few feedback and 100% positive.
That being said, I wouldn't do it to the extent that you are. For one, there is the feedback manipulation that you have to worry about but also, after a certain number of feedbacks it kind of seems pointless. After you get a yellow star I would just focus on selling to increase my feedback. |
| martyjump | 05-30-2017 03:10 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. Just to clarify, I don't disagree with what others have said on here. Everything that is being said in regards to this won't help your seller feedback, raise your limits, etc. is absolutely true. It won't have any effect on your seller performance. All it will do, in my opinion, is look better to buyers who aren't as eBay savvy... and in my opinion, there are enough of them out there so that something like what you're doing, although on a much smaller scale, might be effective. How effective I'm not sure. I've only bought on accounts when I really needed something. And it was just here and there. I've let my selling do everything for me in the past pretty much. But in theory, it could provide a little boost to newer accounts that are suffering from the 0 to 5 to 9 feedback syndrome, and therefore could boost your sales which therefore COULD boost seller limits and seller feedback. A sort of chain reaction. I emphasize, however, that this is all IN THEORY as I've never had any real experience with this. |
| newjerseymax | 05-30-2017 03:37 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. IMO - More feedback does help in sales. I have sold same items across the board and in my experience the higher feedback accounts got better sales. Even if they are just buying feedback. |

Everything should look natural. |

| jakobrockz | 06-02-2017 12:14 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. I'm not sure what he means by that... typically whenever I get a neg feedback my sales instantly tank on that account for a few days. |
| dallis | 06-02-2017 03:38 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. All buyers have 100% positive feedback. So it's meaningless. Even negatives have to be posted as positives.
And seller's feedback no longer counts towards your metrics.
To the op: I don't trust a seller who has all buyer feedback, particularly in a short period of time. I think they're trying to build up feedback so they can start scamming people.
I don't worry much about negative feedback unless it has a persistent common trend or there's an awful lot of it. Common trend means things like "never got it had to file case", or "product smelled like smoke", or "poorly packaged". |
Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. I think this is a little overkill IMO, id slow down the buying rate. |

Really? My feedback as a seller doesn't count...? in what way? I've seen people mention this in general, but this is the most specific mention of it so far that I noticed. How does it not count anymore? What do you mean by "meterics"....? I know you (Dallis) know your stuff, I'm seriously asking. Thanks! |
| Speeder33 | 10-04-2017 04:00 AM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. Not worth the time or money for buyer feedback
Spend a little more time and money to get seller feedback which will not only help your account more but also get you closer to removing the 21 day hold |
| ebaystealth1974 | 10-04-2017 04:53 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. They aren't gonna ban you for buying a lot of cheap stuff.
I've had 1200+ bids out at once, because I like seeing how much sh1t I can get for a penny lol(automated program). On a low feedback account. Nothing ever comes of it. |
| dallis | 10-04-2017 07:25 PM | Re: BUILDING FEEDBACK!! 100 FEEDBACK for $100 DOLLARS.. EB is ever changing. Feedback was eliminated as a metric maybe two years ago, at least here in the US, can't say it's the same everywhere else.
Not that long ago you could be suspended or banned for poor feedback. Now that's supposedly not a factor.
Opened/unresolved cases are now the thing you need to be concerned about. |

Is that why I'm seeing seller with 95% feedback being top rated sellers? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:25 PM. | |
