Default IP question

I have three stealth accounts. One on my cable internet, one of my phone hotspot, and one on an ATT hotspot. None have ever had any issues. My question is my phone hotspot will sometimes disconnect and my computer will automatically pick up my cable internet while I am on Ebay. When I see this happen I will terminate the connection, but sometimes I do not see this happen. Could this become a problem?

Yes it could cause issues because you are sharing the same IP with 2 different accounts.

If it happens only once it might not be an issue but if the 2 accounts shares the same IP they will be linked...

You have to solve your connection issue.

I don't know why you'd take the chances.

Why not spend a little bit of time to fix this to eliminate major issues that'll take up way more of your time and frustrations in the future?

Im sure that would depend on the make/model of phone of course. I would take that information to a google search with your problem. There are bound to be results. Hopefully you can find some topics that will help you resolve your problem.

Yeah, this happens.

I ended up setting my computer to no longer automatically connect to available connections. I do it manually, so I can choose.

If your signal drops then you can decide what to do, whether to shut down or whether or not to connect to another IP.

Hello if your using a windows computer this is very simple to fix. On the right side of your taskbar at the bottom you will see your wireless connection icon.

Simply click on this and it will pull up all your networks that are in range.

If your using windows 10 simply unclick the "connect automatically" box under your home internet connection you don't want it to use.

If your using an older version of windows right click the home connection and click "forget network"

Now when your computer drops your cell hotspot connection it will simply not have any internet at all and you can just reconnect to your hotspot.

I know a lot of people use hotspots for ebay but for a much more stable connection would be to use a VPN. $30.00 a month would get you 3 VPNs and you can eliminate all this hassle once and for all!

Hope this helps you out!

Yes it will cause a problem.

If using a router I would check into changing the MAC address to see if that is an option for you to change your IP, then you can just use your internet connection IP on all accounts.
