Applying to sell sex toys on ebay
 

I want to sign up to apply, but im wondering what will they require from me after I request to apply. Has anyone applied for this? What did they require from you?

Iv been on ebay since 2011, Top rated, 100% feedback, over 1000 feedbacks

Chatted to an ebay rep today, said they are allowed as long as you are pre-approved , its a new category they have now

It may be worth asking them what you need to get approved

well being that im stealth, I dont want them requesting something that will expose me possibly... thats when Im asking, anyone know what they will ask for?

This is just a guess....but they may ask for receipts or invoices.....and that can be fixed easy.

Instead of risking your main account why not start a new account and apply with that one just to see what the process entails? Better safe then sorry.

Im sure if they ask for anything that makes me uncomfortable, I can just say iv changed my business plan we wont be planning to sell such items now.

As far as making another account, I only have one account. I feel that creating a new account will just complicate things , I dont want to wake the dog

lol, well your not going to make a new account and tell them its you.....you make a separate account, completely stealth.....then find out what they are asking, then you will know...it's that simple.

I just think that they will ask for all the normal things. Invoices, stock confirmation etc.

There isn't any harm in asking

Have you tried just listing your products in the Adult Only section? I used to sell massive amounts of adult products in that section years ago and never had to apply for anything.

I would presume the process is super simple. Just fill out the form expressing your interest to sell in this category and mention in the comments you have understood their policy and will adhere to it.

The same process applies to those selling in other closed categories such as e-cigs etc.

Thanks for all your input, im going to apply tomorrow, then see what else they ask for. They told me it takes about three weeks to get approved. ill update you

I got an email from ebay today. They would like to speak to me in relation to the application

Not sure what questions they will ask me

They want to know what is the best time to call, of course the number on my account is a redirect service that goes to my mobile phone.

I've got my call with them tomorrow to get approval to sell sex toys on eBay UK.

Ebabe or gadgetman how did you get on? I would like to list in the e cig category and would like to know if ebay do any further checks on you and what questions they ask over the phone? I am just worries ebay will look into my personal details and i will get found out. Any help wouldbe much appreciated.
